He is chosen by Chihiro to take care of Mashiro's daily life, although he resists at first, but he ends up getting used to it. Sorata has decided to become a computer game designer, but his game proposal to a famous computer game company was turned down. In the sixth novel, he decides to make a game on his own. He cannot resist taking in stray cats, and he ends up keeping seven in his room.
